Sometimes I find myself stuck in this never-ending loop where I keep doing the same thing over and over, and honestly, I start to wonder if I’m just spinning my wheels for no reason. I ask myself, “Does any of this even matter?” and get caught up in all kinds of doubts. It’s easy to feel like I’m wasting time, especially when progress seems slow or nonexistent. I’ve come to realize that inspiration doesn’t always show up on demand—it’s more like waiting for that one friend who’s always “coming soon” but never actually arrives. Sometimes, it takes months of patience, persistence, and a lot of “waiting in the wings,” before I see any real change. But I tell myself to keep going because the future I want depends on it, even if that future feels far away or like it’s taking forever to get here.
And strangely enough, when I finally stop stressing about when or how it’s going to happen, that’s when ideas start to pop up out of nowhere—usually from small, overlooked moments or from the weirdest thoughts I have while doing everyday things like washing dishes or waiting in line. I’ve learned that patience is key, even if it feels like waiting for a miracle or the perfect slice of pizza to be delivered. Because if I keep pushing through, even if it takes months, I know I’ll get there eventually. It’s worth doing because I’d rather look back someday and say, “Hey, at least I didn’t give up,” than regret missing out on whatever surprises are hiding just around the corner—maybe even in a few months. In the end, it’s all about trusting the process, knowing that the journey might be long, but the reward will be even sweeter when I finally reach where I want to be.

Inspiration is often like a slow-cooked meal—best enjoyed after patience and careful preparation. While we may wish for sudden flashes of brilliance, true creativity typically requires time to develop. Embracing the long wait allows ideas to mature and flourish, reminding us that patience is a vital ingredient in the recipe of innovation.
